Nile Phillips at Text As Data (TADA)

Nile Phillips ’24 presented a 帖子er at Text As Data (TADA) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in November 2023. Nile has worked on this project alongside Michelle Lum ’23 and Sathvika Anand ’24 in the EconText lab, supervised by Prof. Xanda Schofield (HMC CS) alongside Prof. Manisha Goel and Prof. Michelle Zemel (Pomona Economics). The goal of the project is to study corporate behavior on 推特, specifically focusing on how companies model corporate social responsibility, 或企业社会责任, in their public-facing image, as well as whether their social media messaging correlates with corporate action. Between watching talks and presenting a 帖子er, Nile also found some time to visit a UMass professor’s dairy goats!
